Our Vision

In 2016, our church celebrated 20 years ministering to the community of Greater Springfield and at that time were led to develop a vision for the next 20 years. We called that vision NEXT20 and it focused on four key areas in which we sensed God was calling us to grow and become more influential. The four areas were: PEOPLE, PROPERTY, PROJECTS and PLANTING.

Understanding that Jesus was building His church to reach generations in this community and beyond, we have a vision to raise up now, the next generation of leaders for the church. We will identify calling and gifting and develop young people to equip the church for the next season of leadership.

We have a vision not just to have a building to call our own in this community, but to establish a Christian school with a Christ-centered ethos and curriculum to reach generations of those who will call this community and its surrounds, home. Our vision includes an international component that will see students from overseas also studying there, receiving an internationally recognized qualification and being presented with the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ. This school would also house the worship home of Springfield Christian Family.

We expect this God-sized vison to only be accomplished in partnership with other Christian organizations and local community assistance. We have also in faith established a building fund to that end. Financial contributions to this vision can be made on the ‘Give’ page of this website.

We have the vision to reach communities both locally and abroad with the love of God, and a heart to make a real and lasting difference in the lives of many enduring difficult circumstances. To that end, we have developed, and are developing, initiatives to minister to the problem of domestic violence in our area.

We have also brought overseas focus for our efforts to the nation of Vietnam and working through a Christian organization on the ground have adopted a rural village in Vietnam to make a lasting difference, through regular short term mission team visits and completing community development projects.

We have the vision to see other communities reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and have the benefit of a vibrant and faithful Christian church planted in their community to bring the love of God to the residents there. To that end, we are committed to raising up church planting leaders and core groups to establish churches in largely ‘unreached’ areas.
